Light use such as maps and messaging takes roughly 0.5 to 1 GB a day. Browsing, social media and photos take 1 to 3 GB a day, and video streaming or hotspot use takes more. If you are unsure, pick the next size up.
Validity starts from the first time you use data, not from the day you buy. You can install the eSIM at home before you travel and switch it on when you arrive.
Yes, for the eSIM line. Your phone treats any network that is not your home carrier as roaming, so without Data Roaming switched on for the eSIM it can show as installed but not get online. It does not add roaming charges to a prepaid eSIM. Keep data roaming off on your home SIM.
No. A single-country plan only connects in Bhutan. If you are visiting several countries, choose a regional or global pass that lists all of them.
The plans shown here are data-only and have no phone number. You can keep your home SIM active for calls and texts, and use apps such as WhatsApp or FaceTime for calls over data.
Any phone that supports eSIM and is not locked to a carrier, such as iPhone XS, XR and later, Google Pixel 4 and later, and many recent Samsung Galaxy models. Check yours on our eSIM compatible devices page.
